According to Azerbaijani figures cited in June 2026, since the end of the war in November 2020 mines have killed 73 people and injured 354. Contaminated land in Azerbaijan is estimated at 11,667 square kilometres (13.4 percent of the territory); about 249,000 hectares had been cleared by January 2026, including more than 69,000 hectares in 2025. Clearance is led mainly by Azerbaijan's mine action agency ANAMA. In Armenia about 11.3 square kilometres remain mined, mostly along the eastern border, and are being cleared by the state Center for Humanitarian Demining and Expertise (CHDE).
