Monsoon floods in India
The 2026 monsoon brought two flood waves: in Assam from late June to early August, and from August in Kerala, Odisha and Arunachal Pradesh.

For floods from 9 August to 22 September 2026 GDACS reports 42 deaths and more than 260,000 displaced, mainly in Kerala. The IFRC released DREF funding for Assam.
