The Indian Red Cross Society provides disaster relief, ambulances and blood services. During the 2026 Assam floods its state branch distributed tarpaulins, kitchen sets and mosquito nets from stocks in Guwahati; the IFRC allocated CHF 500,000 from its DREF for 75,000 people.
