Russian Far East, Primorsky and Khabarovsk Kraisince 2013

According to July 2026 data at least 750 Amur tigers live in Russia, compared with about 430 in 2013. In 2023-2025 the number of conflict situations with people almost doubled compared with the start of the decade. Poaching of tigers and their prey and deforestation remain the main threats. On 26 September 2026 Russia's first state rehabilitation centre for tigers and other wild animals opened in the buffer zone of the Ussuriysky Nature Reserve.
