Onçafari protects jaguars and maned wolves through research, ecotourism, rewilding and fire prevention. It has bases in the Pantanal, Cerrado, Amazon and Atlantic Forest; in 2024 fires destroyed its jaguar rewilding enclosures at the Caiman Ecological Refuge.
