Great Barrier Reef Foundation (GBRF)

The Foundation funds and runs Great Barrier Reef restoration projects: coral breeding, seeding corals onto reefs and research on heat tolerance. In March 2026, with McLaren Racing, AIMS and QUT, it unveiled a semi-automated coral seeding system meant to raise annual planting from 100,000 to 1 million corals.
